This is book two in the Lake City Heroes series, however I do feel like it is a stand alone as well, you will miss a bit of some of the characters, but not enough to be lost. I do recommend reading book one as it is amazing. I can not wait to read more from this series. I fell in love with many of the characters in book one and was glad to reconnect with the characters in this book, I also look forward to hearing more from them. I can only speculate on which ones will be in book 3. Lynette Eason

The Lake City heroes are back in this second book in the series and this one explodes on the scene with non-stop action and a pace that is like a race car that is holding on to first place. Kenzie King is the newest member of the SWAT team and she is feisty and courageous, holding her own against the members of the team who seem to not want her there. Unfortunately, there is another threat, an unknown attacker who would just as soon kill her to get her off the team.
