Cooper is portrayed as an A- list hollywood celebrity, famous and scandalous as the media covers him. He is a recovering alcohol and drug addict trying to stay sober and clean with mental health issues plaguing him his whole life. He is paparazzi shy although his character is what you see of a typical playboy who flirts with women young and old, proposing to them like phony, meaningless lines in a script. He is infatuated with Amy, the beautiful young police chief who have issues of her own. This is a sometimes hilarious and emotional story as they journey through a relationship that was complicated as all get out. What makes it a perfect book in my opinion is that the author did not end their story when they overcame the obstacles to their relationship like many other books do, leaving the reader quite unsatisfied and hanging. The story continues even when things are going great between them giving it more substance and strength and wholeness not common to books nowadays where it ends when things are clearly happy ever after.

A funny, light hearted rom-com about Cooper the self proclaimed family screwup and Amy the police chief where attraction abounds but they try to ignore it. Once you start it’s hard to put down as you want to see what happens next…

Since reading “Show Time,” I couldn’t wait to finally read Cooper Judson’s story. While I love all of the characters in this series, he was the one that intrigued me the most. When I found out the release date of this, I could not contain my excitement. I definitely could not put this book down. I rooted for him the whole book, and so many questions about his background were finally answered.
