About this eBook

His country or his wife?

This time, he can’t save both.

Federal Air Marshal Reese Donovan walked away from the woman he loved to protect the country he swore to serve. But when his estranged wife, Verity, survives a deadly bombing—and wakes up believing they’re still together—Reese is thrust into the most dangerous mission of his life.

The next attack is imminent.

The enemy is closing in.

And Verity is caught in the crosshairs.

Now, to keep her breathing, Reese must hide the truth, play the devoted husband she believes he still is—and rely on a security team he barely trusts.

As threats close in and the clock ticks down, he’s faced with an impossible choice:

Stop a terrorist.

Or save the only woman he’s ever loved.

Loved the romance between Reese and his estranged wife Verity!!! And I also loved the suspense and thilling and action in this book. I am glad Reese came back to Verity and helped find out who was wanting to kill her and protect her too. I love romance & suspense books. I also loved the author put christianity in the book too. I recommed this book if you enjoy romance and suspense books. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What do I say about this book? Captivating, interesting, mysterious, funny, sad, emotional rollercoaster, religious base beliefs, heartbreaking, terrifying, and iuplifting. Reese and Verity were struggling with balancing their marriage and carriers before she started at Hightower, but that's where things really started giving way. When she's hurt, Reese is brought in to aide in her recovery, though he's not pleased about the plan of action - at all (and I can see why). volunteer review of gift

The story flowed right from the start with action and intrigue pulling me in. Reese and Verity are married and struggling. Throughout the book, they learn to rely on God and each other instead of their own strength. With a great cast of supporting characters and a suspenseful, adrenaline fueled plot, this storyline was well developed with a great faith message integrated into it. About the author

Falling in love shouldn’t be this dangerous—but Jorgia Yates wouldn’t have it any other way.

She writes Christian Romantic Suspense with protective heroes, courageous heroines, and a faith that holds strong when everything else falls apart.

Jorgia married her teenage sweetheart (after a very awkward meet-cute in the 90s), and together they’re raising two amazing children on the spectrum.

Living with chronic illness means her world is a little smaller—but her imagination is anything but. So while real life includes rest, resilience, and lots of grace, her characters chase danger, dodge bullets, and fall hard for the kind of love that protects—body and soul.
