About the author

Rachel Ward grew up in Bookham, Surrey. After school she studied Geography at Durham University and, combined working for a number of local authorities with raising a family. Her debut novel Numbers was shortlisted for the prestigious Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize 2009, and the Southern Schools Book Award.

Sarah Coomes is an British actress and published audiobook narrator. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, learning how to cry, speak Shakespeare and stage fight like a tiger. Sarah has narrated over 30 audiobooks, voiced numerous commercials and has worked for BBC Radio. Her screen credits include Together (2018), Falling Through (2000) and Underground (1998).
