About this audiobook

Morrison had been shadowing the jewel thieves, searching for a pattern, … a motive, … something beyond mere greed. His instincts whispered of a bigger scheme lurking behind these heists, yet uncovering it was proving more elusive than he had anticipated. He was always a step behind, chasing shadows, until fate finally dealt him a card he could play.

Sadie was in the jewelry store, lost in her excitement to see all these beautifully crafted gemstones, when chaos erupted. The robbery was terrifying enough, but a chilling familiarity about one of the masked figures sent shivers down her spine. Her heart ached at the thought, but silence was not an option, especially when the stakes were this high …

Thrown together by circumstance, Morrison and Sadie form a fragile alliance, one fraught with tension and unspoken attraction. As they delve deeper, the lines between family and foe blur, and their quest to prevent another nightmare becomes as much about trust and betrayal as it is about stopping the thieves.

About the author

Hey there. I’m a Canadian USA Today best-selling author, and I love writing for everyone—whether you’re young, old, or somewhere in between. My books? Well, they’re a mixed bag. Some are steamy, some are sweet, and a few might have you sleeping with the lights on. Others are perfect for snuggling up with.

I’ve never been one to color inside the lines or stick to a single path. I embrace the wild stories that pop into my head, even if they break the rules and dance across genres. A few years ago, I switched to dictating my stories because my fingers were starting to feel the impact of my steady 10,000 words a day. Dictating is linear, so it silences my internal editor. You can’t stop to ensure something is perfect or to see what needs changing—you must continue onward. This approach has allowed me to let my muse take the lead and to feel the story pour from my heart. My mind steps in during the editing process, but, until then, it’s all about letting the characters direct the story. That’s why my stories have that existential feel of a Dale Mayer book.

And you know what? That’s totally okay with me.

One thing’s for sure: every book I write promises to be a great read, every single time.
