my family and I used to do all the puzzles daily and compare notes. we've gone off it now, first it was the introduction of adverts before each puzzle and now the Mini crossword has been withdrawn behind the paywall. It seems like the Connections and Strands have been easier and simplistic recently too, so I don't know what's going on there. I don't think we will be using it much longer - they've made us feel unwelcome as free users and it's not as challenging.

Alright if you want to pay, but there are not many good free puzzles now, only a daily Wordle and Connections now, you have to pay for almost everything else, I used to like tiles and the crossword but you can't even get it with an add. Sad and disappointing they make so much money surely they can allow a few free puzzles, no chance I'm buying anything American at the moment.

The app is ok. It has a few good games that aren't completely locked behind a subscription, although all of these can only be played once a day. They have now added ads before each game (including Wordle), and bugs are quite common. Recently, I was logged out of Wordle only and couldn't access my stats. Speaking of Wordle, it was much better off without NYT. If you want to play it, go for a rip off or play the web version
