8 Ball Pool

This game is super luck based. Even on more skill based game modes (i.e, having to call which pot you will shoot in) luck is still a major factor at play, to the point it becomes frustrating. There is a layer of skill, yes, but there is no fun to be had, when you are just losing your tokens consistently, because you can't even have a single shot yourself, or your balls positions are absolutely awful, giving you a 0% chance of winning immediately after break.

I genuinely believe this has been one of the best free pool games for almost 20 years. And while the game itself is excellent, the menu UI has become so bloated with incessant pop-up ads, video ads, and battle pass notifications that it's borderline unplayable. I'm plagued with constant freezes, crashes and unresponsive menus. It's quite literally pop-up followed by immediate pop-up multiple times in a row until the game freezes. F2P games require revenue, but this level of greed is absurd.

Unfortunately this is one of the only pool games on the app store that is even remotely 'polished' enough to play. Saying that, it is still one of the worst games on the app store. When installing it forces you to manually decline cookies for hundreds of partners. While playing you will be bombarded with interruptions, pop ups, ads, rewards, free spins. It is a complete mess from head to toe, full of micro transactions and clutter. The developers clearly have no idea how pool works either. AVOID
