The initial training and the relaxed nature of the videos is great. However the listening feature is poor, often it won't hear the notes at all or will take a generic noise as the requested chord which can affect your learning and is very frustrating. The tuning function is inconsistent and will often say a string is out of tune when it definitely isn't. In hindsight I wish I hadn't paid the subscription.

I really enjoyed the opening course of the app, and I actually felt able to grasp the concept of playing chords on my guitar which I have yet to properly play, but then I wasn't able to progress past the initial learning and play the song I'd chosen. it feels as if the entire app is locked behind a pay wall, and I can't afford to pay every 3-12 months for an app. A bit disappointing, as I feel the way it works would 100% work for me.

As a complete beginner this app led me to believe it would be a really useful tool in learning to play guitar, but it only took a few more (in-app) lessons to realise it's not nearly as helpful as I had thought. I'm still battling through with the lessons as I foolishly paid for the year's subscription and don't want to totally waste it, but it really is a struggle. Money poorly spent.
