Example of programmers, over programming. I mean, why have just one confirm button action, when you can have two! When your driving, you need more distractions so after its taking you a minute to find or type your destination, then selected to GO NOW, what you really wanna be doing rather than concentrate on the road ahead, is to click GO NOW for a second time, just incase youve changed your mind after taking the time (and eyes off the road) to search for it. clever stuff!

It's a decent app but there are 3 deal breakers for me. 1: no speed camera alerts, even with that setting toggled on. 2: doesn't work without Internet connection (Google maps does). 3: navigation instructions are FAR too frequent, annoyingly so! It tells you at 0.5 miles, 0.1 miles and when you get to the turn, and there's no option to tone it down in the settings other than to change it to alerts only. Also most of the icons on this app look like they're aimed at a 5 year old.

I am a long time fan of Waze, ever since getting my picture taken by one of those nice roadside camera vans 😡 My use has been with the iPhone version, which has been incredibly useful as the location search is vastly superior to those stand alone and built-in sat navs, you can enter the name of a hospital, partial address, etc and it will generally find the location. It is also "aware" of hazards and holdups, and tends to avoid awkward right turns across busy traffic. Best of all, it's free!
