I can't speak to how much this assists with security, but from a user perspective this app is extremely disruptive. Recently I needed to get e-tickets from my email & couldn't because this app had placed a hold until I "rechecked". Without signal, this couldn't happen and so I couldn't access my tickets. I've had several experiences like the above. It seems to want to check indiscrimiately & prevents me using several MS apps when I need to. I'm probably going to have to delete the app.

This is easily the worst, least convenient, most inconsistent, least easy to use piece of garbage I have ever had forced upon me. And after two hours of trying to get my emails back and pissing about being asked to register/log in/authenticate/download I still can't get them. I just get told I have to register my device again. For 8th time. And each time involves me being told to set up my account, then being told I already have an account, then being given no option but to delete the account!!

It worked fine until today when I had to change my password for work. Then it got stuck in a loop of telling me I need to enrol my device and asking me to download the app (the app is already on my phone and the device has been registered correctly for 2 years). Reinstalling, deleting email account, made no difference. I now can't use email at home and can't work effectively. Please fix this!
