Slime Legion

Fun, clever, predatory I really love the core of this game. A match puzzle battler where different monsters have different synergies and you also have to manage the placement of your units within the puzzle. I don't mind the grind because each run feels like a new puzzle. What I do mind is how immediately and loudly this game screams for money. Packs, boosters, game pass esc mechanics, even events want me to tap that pay now button. Even as a brand new player it's hard to sift through

Greed ruined a great experience. I've been playing since launch but am uninstalling after the latest update introduced ad in between rounds. I am happy to have the ads to unlock chests and earn extra items, but now it's monotonous and boring. I loved the uniqueness of the merge/match elements of a strategy defense game. I'd bought from the shop. But I won't have my 'me time' held at ransom. At the very least introduce a small fee to remove ads in between rounds

This score would have been much higher, but the game now has adverts after every game you play a game, and some games can be short, so it's become very annoying. Before this, the game tried to push many micro transactions, which is fine, and it also had adverts to watch for rewards, which is also fine. The time I stopped playing was when the ad bombardment happened, especially with the irony of many of the ads mentioned ad free games as their selling point. Shame too as was enjoying the game.
