The initial training and the relaxed nature of the videos is great. However the listening feature is poor, often it won't hear the notes at all or will take a generic noise as the requested chord which can affect your learning and is very frustrating. The tuning function is inconsistent and will often say a string is out of tune when it definitely isn't. In hindsight I wish I hadn't paid the subscription.

ETA: Despite referencing it, there isn't a way to slow down songs. There's also no option to see an entire song's notes/chords; relying on the scrolling motion gets very frustrating. Original: The lessons seem good. But whether it picks up notes is a bit hit or miss, even with tuning and doing all the stuff in the FAQ. String 2, fret 1 doesn't register 70% of the time for me, and that impedes the flow of learning because it doesn't give the option to skip ahead.

I really enjoyed the opening course of the app, and I actually felt able to grasp the concept of playing chords on my guitar which I have yet to properly play, but then I wasn't able to progress past the initial learning and play the song I'd chosen. it feels as if the entire app is locked behind a pay wall, and I can't afford to pay every 3-12 months for an app. A bit disappointing, as I feel the way it works would 100% work for me.
